Welcome

The Memorial Hall was built on land donated by Margaret Chamberlaine of Rodwell the wife of Rev George Chamberlaine who was the vicar of the parish between 1809 and 1837.

The land was first used as a school which provided the first formal education in Wyke where pupils paid tuppence a week to attend school.

In 2008 the Memorial Hall in Wyke Square was looking very sad and neglected and sorely needed an injection of cash. After a chat in the pub the idea of the Wyke Regis Christmas Fayre was born and the rest they say is history.

The success of the Wyke Regis Christmas Fayre has allowed us, with the help of local workmen and traders, to repair and replace the kitchens, toilets, cupola and unfortunately due to criminals, the lead on the roof.

Now the hall is looking back to its former glory it has hosted two very posh wedding receptions and is in constant use by local organisations.

Work to the Memorial Hall is ongoing but due to the success of the Wyke Regis Christmas Fayre we are now in the position to help other local organisations in need of funds. For more information please contact Georgina.

As well as being a fantastic way to raise money the Wyke Regis Christmas Fayre is a great opportunity for the people of Wyke to get together and celebrate Christmas.
